The Green Mile by Stephen King
Book Number: RC 44564

3 sound cassettes
read by Ray Foushee.
Death-row supervisor Paul Edgecombe thinks back to 1932 when John Coffey is brought to the penitentiary and placed on the "Green Mile." Coffey is accused
of the rape and murder of twin nine-year-old girls. But Coffey seems to be an unusual kind of human being. Strong language and violence. Bestseller.
This was an outstanding book. After hearing so much about it and the movie, I finally broke down and read it. I'm not a King fan, but this book is truly
good and I'm glad I read it. A 5 out of 5.
Happy Reading,
Carla/TexasRed

would you recommend I read the book before seeing the movie?

Either will do in this case. I read the book as an exercise to rid myself of a childhood fear of the electric chair. It's a common psych trick called flooding. I pulled out as much of the fear as I could. Six-year-olds should not see graphic episodes of Tales From The Cript. A very good book all round. Dream-catcher is great too. Tiffany
